The 4 C's
Choosing diamond that's right for you
Each diamond is unique and there are many variables which determine their respective prices. Focus on the ‘C’ that is most important to you by choosing a jewel that satisfies your own standards of beauty and value. This may be a very different diamond than someone else might choose.
Clarity
Even though they are invisible to the naked eye, natural imperfections can effect a diamond’s clarity. The fewer inclusions a stone has, the more valuable it is.
Cut
The brilliance of a diamond comes from its cut. Using precise tools, the jeweler transforms a new diamond into a stunning jewel that reflects the light around it.
Carat
The size of the diamond is related to its carat. One carat is divided into 100 points. The term originated from the balancing of scales in ancient times.
Color
The absence of color enhances a diamond's ability to reflect different types of color. Diamonds are graded on a scale of D (almost clear white) to N-Z.
